Glitter Spirals

Hey everyone!

Sooo these nails were done on either August 7th or 8th.. I specifically can remember the date(ish) because I sported these gems at a friend's wedding.

Suuuuper bright nails, with some obnoxious glitter - yes, please.

I used:
China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base CoatOrly Push The LimitPure Ice Dazzle MeSmall BrushSeche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
I believe I did 3 coats of PTL, and I remember being annoyed with myself for not using a white base - but this colour was vibrant enough without it - but I probably could have gotten away with 1 coat of each instead, oh well. The polish is just.. spectacular. I love it.

Then, at the time, I didn't have any cool stencils or vinyls, so I did a hand drawn spiral/swirl on each nail.. tedious, yes, and made so worse with using a glitter polish, yes. BUT. Are the results worth it? YES!

That is all for today -- see you all again soon!

Fall Trees

Hey everyone!

I am breaking my deal on posting up my queued posts and posting this brand new gem, because.. uhh.. I just really want to share them.

Sure, my gradient isn't overly flawless, but cuticles are a bit rough, and I did the sponging the wrong way.. so instead of being a sunset, it is a sunrise, but hey! I still really like them. Plus they remind me of my sister.

I used:
OPI Toucan Do It If You Try!China Glaze Dune Our ThingChina Glaze Plur-pleOPI Vant To Bite My Neck?China Glaze Fairy DustFormula X for Sephora White MatterSpongeDotting Tool Eat.Sleep.Polish Tree Decals
So I started off with a base of the orange colour, then did my gradient.. then I painted a quick coat of Fairy Dust to the darker half of the gradient, and then added white dots (think: stars) then tossed on the vinyls.

I got them from Eat.Sleep.Polish -- if you want them, put in an order ASAP -- the site will be down on Sept 25 for a bit.. and these are lovely. So, they are needed.

Have a great day, and see…

Let's Get Mani-wise: Latex

Hey everyone!

Now, the word 'latex' can probably spark up a few images in your mind (don't worry, I am not here to judge or to jeer - I probably have already thought of all the things ;D) - but today I was going to talk about liquid latex usage in the world of nail art.

How many times have you started the set-up of a watermarble, and were like 'ugh, tape.. nope.' or 'all that acetone for clean-up afterwards? nope.' Me too.

Or, you want to do some splatter nails, but the same after thoughts pop up. Boils down to the clean-up, sure these manis yield INCREDIBLE results, but all that extra work.. welp, there is a fix!

Step 1: You can apply your latex before or after you paint your base colour. I went with after for this one. I am going to create a turquoise mani - so there is polish on water, sprayed with alcohol and then finger dip-age, basically it sums up to: mess!

Step 2: Create your nail art masterpiece (please note: there is still some minor clean-up requ…

Fashion Playground + Gold Flecks

Hey everyone!

I was looking through my nail folder (of my photos to post) and it is just getting obscene - so, maybe I can actually start posting them.. seems logical, right?!

Looking through some of the photos, I cannot remember all the polish that was used, but for this set, there are many from my collection that could almost match this particular shade, but remember, they are similar, not the same.

This is featuring Essie Fashion Playground and some gold leaf flecks. Simple. Pretty. Awesome!

So lovely!

My nail length/shape will probably change some throughout the next wealth of posting. My nails were quite long, and in a lovely almond shape.. then bowling happened. Cracked off my thumb nail on my first bowl, sooo then I decided to just clip them all down, despite not actually wanting to. I have no idea why I did it. So silly.

Enjoy - and have a grand day!

Sandwich Bag Mani - Blue to Green

Hey everyone!

I am going to share this rad sandwich bag mani with you all today - I think we all know how much I love these manis - I mean, I made this VIDEO, so clearly I still have strong feelings for this technique.

I pinned some nail art, then tracked down the gals IG account - you can scope HERE and see the mani that inspired me HERE

I am obsessed with these nails!

I had so many comments on these irl in the last 2 days - everyone is shocked when I tell them yes, they are my real nails, and yes, I did them myself. Little do they know how freaking easy these are to do!

Have a great day - and see you again soon!!

Let's Get Mani-wise: Mani Bombs

Hey everyone!

I recently took to my FB page to ask people to help me come up with a name for a little series that I want to start posting time to time, and my rad friend Kimber came up with this name, and I like it, so I will use it! Thanks again Kimber!

Anyways, what I want to talk about in this 'series' are things that I do/use to make my manis even... MORE. Does that make sense? Well, hopefully it sort of does. I am bad at explaining things at times.

Today I want to talk about mani bombs. You have probably seen them around the netz, and that is great! Maybe you have not purchased any yet as they seem confusing? Or maybe you don't 'get them' - understandable!

At first, I figured I didn't need these - I didn't see the point (besides the really rad fizzy activity!), but then I did some research. Did you know that these little bad boys are filled with oils that actually do amazing things for your mitts? Plus, you get to soak your hands in warm water for 5-15…
