Countdown to Halloween 2015: Day 2

Hey everyone! Yaaah! So, tomorrow is Halloween aka my most favourite day of the YEAR! I will try to get my post up for tomorrow before I have to work at the bar - annnd hopefully with my makeup all did.. and then I will have to enlist the help of someone to take photos.. ehh easily done! Ok. So, the mani for today did not turn out as great as I had wanted.. mostly because I refused to unpack all of my polish and tools, so I worked with the bare minimum. Oops. I am sorry! Some spiders.. some webs.. some gradients.. still got compliments, so they aren't the worst nails of all time. Win! All right, that is all for today -- see you tomorrow!!

Countdown To Halloween 2015: Day 3

Hey everyone! All right, second post for today.. Lets go with.. A slimy skittle mani! Yay! The bad thing though.. I did this just before my impromptu move, sooo.. I didn't tot down the polishes that I used.. I know a few for sure, but two of the base colours, I cannot remember (I'm sorry!) I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat China Glaze S'more Fun China Glaze Peachy Keen China Glaze Ghostess With The Mostess Orly Liquid Vinyl Little Brush Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat That is all for today! See you tomorrow!!

Countdown To Halloween 2015: Day 4

Hey eveyone! Today you are getting day 4 and 3.. I forgot to get this prepared yesterday.. and then I got caught up doing my nails and really needing sleep. Blah. So! woke up early today so I could just get these posted (plus, despite having like 10 hours to sleep, I probably only slept for 4 - and not 4 hours together, an hour here, 45 mins here, etc, great night!) Anyways! I promised something cheeky for day 4.. I figured I would share the costume that I most want to see on Halloween.. ready for it?! Left shark. Remember him? I know some of you might be like 'what?' but Left Shark has his hot minute of fame following the halftime show at the Superbowl.. I thought he was fantastic. I don't even mind if I don't see two people dressed as sharks together, as long as I can see a shark costume and they announce themselves to be 'Left Shark', I will be floored! Chalkboard Nails posted this immediately after Left Shark became a thing, so I just went wit

Countdown To Halloween 2015: Day 5

Hey everyone! Today I bring you my favourite kind of Halloween nails.. the gross looking kind! These will probably be something similar to what I will sport alongside my costume (make-up) for Halloween - but with a few differences. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Girly Bits Hoosier Daddy? OPI You're So Vain-illa China Glaze Mahogany Magic Color Club Red-ical Gypsy Orly Liquid Vinyl Small Brush Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat That is all for today -- see you again tomorrow.. with something on the cheeky side!

Countdown To Halloween 2015: Day 6

Hey everyone! My intentions for my countdown to Halloween series for this year was to do 7 days, but due to some unexpected life changes, I could only start the series this evening. And I still have some nail sets to do.. but.. fingers crossed I will get them all done in time! Soo.. first set of Halloween nails.. Mutant-like skin stitched together.. seems like a good time! I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Girly Bits It's Hoop To Be Square China Glaze Mahogany Magic KBShimmer Teal It To My Heart Orly Liquid Vinyl Little Brush Sponge Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat That is all for this first installment -- see you tomorrow for day 5!

Pirate Polish Seafoam Dream and Mirrorball

Hey everyone! Today I bring you some mani-action featuring an indie maker that lives in the swell city of Saskatoon! I think her creations are rad, and you should probably go scope her etsy shop HERE . I was in another swap a little while back, and I wanted to get something unique that I knew for sure my swap gal would not have, so I immediately sent a message to Tara to ask if she had anything secretly hanging out - she did - I was able to get some more my swap gal, and, ahem, for myself as well.  I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Pirate Polish Seafoam Dream Pirate Polish Mirrorball Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat Ok.. first off.. the squishy-ness look of Seafoam Dream is just.. delightful! And Mirrorball.. siiiiigh! Look at that holo-y goodness! So good. Love these both! See you all again soon!!

MerMAN, dad, merMAN

Hey everyone! When I received a wealth of nail mail a few weeks back, these two screamed a mermaid scale mani with the little nail charms I had also received.. the only itty-bitty-teeny-baby issue? Not enough contrast. Whoops! Thought that counts, right.. right?! I still think these look exquisite.. but hey, I am slightly biased (and also my own worst critic, but I digress) I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Girly Bits Dreaming Tree (can be purchased HERE ) KBShimmer I've Seen Sweater Days (can be purchased HERE ) My Nails Did Mermaid Scale Vinyls (can be purchased HERE )  Starfish Nail Charm (sent to me from LadyQueen - link on sidebar w/ 15% off code!!) Random Nail Pearls Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I honestly love everything about this - minus the fact that you cannot really make out the scale-age (needed more contrast..) BUT! Still rad - and, I managed to keep it on for 3-5 days (cannot quite remember) and I took them off  BEFORE I picked

Spot Me, Bro

Hey everyone! The title of this post is the name of one of the polishes that I used. I mean, how could I not buy it? I loved these two together, and I will love them apart, but as they were first usage from Loaded Lacquer, I wanted to just double up. The only thing I hate is that I got bubble-age, but I still wanted to share them. See the bubbles? So annoying. That was my fault - and during my application, I knew it was going to happen. Of course they didn't show up until the next day, so I almost thought I got away unscathed, but not quite. Ding-dang! I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Loaded Lacquer Achieve-Mint Loaded Lacquer Spot Me, Bro Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I bought these gems straight from the source (just before the Canadian Dollar truly tanked - now it will probably be awhile before I order straight from an American seller..) Achieve-Mint & Spot Me, Bro (sold out at the moment, but check back!) See you all again soon!

Neon Leopard Nails

Hey everyone! So just wanted to get this up reaaaal quick before I ruin my 'get these posts up before your countdown posts' schedule. I know these were done early on in the summer (or late spring?), and, of course, it was using some of the polish from the China Glaze Electric Nights collection (which I am still obsessed with.. I legitimately need to physically restrain myself from always just using those gems). I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat China Glaze Treble Maker China Glaze Plur-ple China Glaze Liquid Leather Dotting Tool Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat That is all for today - see you again in a couple of days! I have been hard at work on my Halloween countdown nails.. phew - just a few more to do!!

Electric Alcohol Marbling

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing some nails that I was absolutely obsessed with early in the summer.. These BRIGHT alcohol marbled nails.. I just look at these photos, and want to do this combo again right meow! Ok, need to calm down. Phew. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat China Glaze Glow With The Flow China Glaze DJ Blue My Mind Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I am forever obsessed with the whole spritzing perfume/alcohol on polish in water and getting this effect. I suck at water marbling, but this, this I can do! Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

How About Them Galaxies..

Hey everyone! Today I have some galaxy nails for ya! To be completely honest, I am just using up all that is in my 'to post' bank before my countdown to Halloween posts.. I mean, I have enough to get me there, so now I can just focus on that content. Makes sense, right?! To be 100% honest, I don't quite remember what was all used here. I feel like the majority was the China Glaze Electric Nights collection.. but.. again, could be wrong. I must get better at keeping detailed notes about my work.. that way when I wait for monnnnnnths to post them, I can still give you an idea of what was used. Better luck next year, right?! That is all for today! See you again soon!!

Pseudo-Indominus Rex Nails

Hey everyone! So, I can practically hear people reading out the title of this post.. pseudo-indominus rex nails.. and you're probably like 'um.. what?!' I'll explain. So, it is probably absolutely no surprise that I am obsessed with dinos.. which in turn makes me obsessed with the Jurassic Park flicks. This past summer marked the release of 'Jurassic World' (which was awesome, in case you have not already viewed it). Anyways, in that flick, real dinos hanging out at a dino-zoo is a legit thing, and people are apparently 'bored' by this (seriously people!) - so the park people decide to create a dinosaur of their own - clearly a genius idea! So, Dr. Wu strings together some DNA strands, and creates the Indominus Rex! Yaaah! There are strains from a few different species woven together.. and one of them is the cuttlefish, which gave this rad beast the ability of camouflage - which leads me how these nails tie in to that. I was sent these awesome

Welcome To October - 2015

Hey everyone! I literally have 2 minutes to write this before I have to launch myself out the door and head off to work.. buuuut.. I really wanted to get a post up to welcome October for this year!
