December 6-12 GLADvent Calendar Goodies

Hey everyone!

Today I bring you some more of my GLADvent calendar goodies. Shall we look at the goods all together, then break them down? Yes, splendid idea!

Ahh just looking at this spread of awesomeness is making my heart smile! Let's have a little chit-chat about the beauts before your eyes.

Day 6 - YASSSS! Finally a mani bomb! Each day last week I was did a mini-chant of 'manibombmanibombmanibomb' in my head.. and I mean, I am not complaining about the items from last week.. but this was a great kick off to the week ahead!

Day 7 - a dangly snowflake charm for the bracelet. At first, I was all amped thinking it was a star.. then I saw that it was a snowflake, and I was suddenly even more excited. I just like snowflakes, ok. Not snow, but the individual flakes I am cool with.

Day 8 - a crystal nail file - my favourite type of file.. going straight to my purse!

Day 9 - YASSSSSSSSSSSSS!! MORE CUTICLE OIL! Gingerbread Latte.. be still my sweet baby heart! I am OBSESSED with this scent. I am really glad that I ordered a large barrier butter in this scent. Nomnomnom.

Day 10 - Wait.. is she.. going to.. start.. carrying lotion as well?! This literally might be my new favourite smell of all time. It has always been the smell of almond extract.. but this.. basically blew my shorts off. Magical! Side note: I do tend to have some sensitivity to lotions - and if it is going to be a bad reaction, it happens instantly. My mitts and I are safe. This is the greatest news.

Day 11 - YASSSSS yet again. An appearance of My Nails Did Vinyls. For serious?! This is freaking awesome! This is a rad variety stencil sheet.. I am dying. I am so excited to use them! I know you cannot tell from the photos, but there is a Christmas Tree, Candy Cane, Snowflake, Snowman, and star shapes.. then these like.. diamond patterns.. and.. light strands. YAY!

Day 12 - OOOOOO YASSSSS! Another mani bomb to close out the week!? HELL YEAH! This has been an exquisite week. Now I just want to rip open the remaining satchels.. must. refrain.

Thanks for tuning again.. I cannot wait to share with you the remaining 12 bags! Yay! See you again soon!

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Dry Marble Technique

Hey everyone! Yes.. Dry marble technique.. well.. technically I am water marbling, but allowing the polish to "dry" on the water.. then using it as a nail decal. Does that sound confusing? It might. But. I think this will be my next video. It is actually a lot of fun to do. And while I think this first attempt is grand, it could be better. I used: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink Sally Hansen  Babe Blue Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Water Dotting Tool Bowl Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I will probably film a video for this within the next week - so I will post up that gem soon. Or, there are probably a wealth online for you to look up in the mean time. Super fun technique without all the hassle of legit water marbling. See you all again soon!
