31DC2016 - Day 29 - Inspired By The Supernatural

Hey everyone!

I cannot believe I have actually made it to this zone in the challenge.. usually I pack in the towel on the first day of the 'inspired by' zone. Yay me! I think I have successfully completed this once? Not sure - will look in to that.

So.

Supernatural.

I thought of a Ouija board.

Funny side story. When my sister and I were younger, we convinced our mom to let us buy the Ouija board - but she warned us not to let our dad know we had it. Or he would be.. displeased, and get rid of it. Which was always strange to me - as our dad is suuuuper easy going.

Anyways.

We bought the board. Had not even cracked it out of the box - but we had to hide it as our dad was about to get home from work. We waited a couple days to get back to our hiding spot to get the board out and try it. It was gone.

Our dad somehow 'sensed' the board, and immediately disposed of it.

Rude.

And hilarious.

Anyways.

The nails. I used two sources to help me. THIS youtube video and a photo.

I know - mayhaps not the greatest attempt - but mayhaps with my Halloween nail arts coming up, I could always revisit. We shall see!

I used:
  • China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
  • Color Club Nomadic In Nude
  • Orly Liquid Vinyl
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

That is all for today! See you all again tomorrow!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi
