Autumnal Chevron Drip Nails

Hey everyone!

Ok. First. I have to talk about this amazing polish colour. A few days ago, I died over MyNailsDid's post of Barry M Mustard.. and I instantly wanted that polish.. or a mustard polish. It had to happen. She offered to try and hunt down a bottle whilst on her vacation (which I almost took her up on) - but then she mentioned that she thought Color Club Je Ne Sais Quoi should be similar.

An order to nailpolishcanada.com went in almost immediately.

I am obsessed with this colour. Does it really compliment my skintone? Not sure. Do I care? No.

With that order, I did snag some of the Essie Fall collection.. so.. why not put them all to use? And follow some nails by ChalkBoardNails?

 I. LOVE. THESE!

They basically scream autumn.. while also screaming heinous, but wearable sweater, with a touch of badassery because of the drips. I should honestly get a job describing photos.

These took a bit of time as the chevron is just done by hand.. but hey.. worth it!

I used:
  • China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
  • Color Club Je Ne Sais Quoi
  • Essie Udon Know Me
  • Essie Kimono-Over
  • Essie Maki Me Happy
  • OPI My Vampire Is Buff
  • Orly Glitz
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

That is all for today - see you all again soon!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Splatter Floral Nails

Hey everyone! Last night, after I did these nails and when I went to bed - I was quite pleased with my nails. When I woke up this morning, though, I wasn't overly crazy about them. I thought of a few things I could change so that I would really like them.. I am very tempted to take how I want them to look and recreate them before work.. I might just have to do it. Anyways! Really, there is nothing wrong with them.. I just sort of find them.. boring? Ah well! I used: Lime Crime Milky Ways China Glaze White On White OPI My Favourite Ornament China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer China Glaze Sweet Hook OPI Mod About You Formula X For Sephora Infatuated Orly Liquid Vinyl China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat I made the roses with a "main" colour and white, then I did the details with the "main" colour and black mixed together. Again, I don't dislike these bad boys.. I am just not amazed by them! Also.. did you
