Girly Bloody Nails

Hey everyone!

So, my sister tagged me in a photo on IG earlier and requested that I do those nails.. which was perfect timing as I have this mustard coloured sweater to wear for Thankskilling supper tonight.. and I had mustard-y nails (that post will be up probably tomorrow..) ..I know there was a purpose of this story. Anyways.

THIS was the image she tagged me in, then it took me HERE and eventually HERE.

So.. here is my take.

Two things I would change upon looking at the images:

1. Do more of the rose technique that I like to use when I do floral nails. There just isn't enough definition - especially on the thumb where it is more visible, &
2. Use a red that I would normally use for the splatter - I feel this one left a pink cast on some of the nails when I applied top coat. Ah well.

I used:
  • China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
  • OPI Alpine Snow
  • Orly Liquid Vinyl
  • Essie Madison Ave-hue
  • Essie Minimilistic
  • OPI Gargantuan Green Grape
  • OPI Cinnamon Sweet
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

That is all for today - see you all again soon!

Canada Day - Saran Wrap Style

I had said the other day that I would be using the Saran Wrap method again soon.. And I really did mean soon. I figure it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day (nail-wise) without over-doing it.. I mean, I'm fairly patriotic as a rule, but sometimes sporting a Maple Leaf on my fingers isn't exactly my style.. ANYways.. See? The love is there with the red and white.. I know I said the next time I did the saran wrap method, I was going to try with three colours.. But, I think I will maybe leave that experiment for tomorrow - today is only about these two colours! So.. How I get to this? Well, allow me to show you. Start off with the colours of your choice - one as the base, and one as your.. distress-er? And some saran/cling wrap. I take two pieces and ball them up.. You could use more or less.. But I figure two hands, two, er, balls. Yikes. After your base has COMPLETELY DRIED (you can do these a couple of hours in advance, the night before, or even use some

Revlon Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!! Yaaaay! I am really excited to do this for all of you! I really appreciate all of you following me and commenting on my posts - it is amazing! So, I figured it was time to give back a bit. Now, this isn't a monster giveaway that I want to do - that will come sometime later. I have it all planned in my mind - BUT - until then, you'll have to put up with this! I picked up 3 polishes from the new Revlon collection the other day and really wanted to grab extras to giveaway, but the store was sold out of one of the colours after I bought it, and so, that thought was quickly squashed. Then, this evening, I ran in to another shop quickly - and they had a whole wealth of them - bingo! Giveaway time! The colours are: Starry Pink, Blue Mosaic & Facets of Fuchsia Supposedly FoF is a DL Bad Romance dupe. Sadly, I do not own that polish (I really, really wish I did) - but this polish is stunning - in fact, they all are! Thi
