Sticks 'n Stones GIVEAWAY!

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to post up a quick announcement about a little giveaway I'm doing..

I am going to tie it in to two things, but technically it will just be one.. I'll explain!

I recently hit 400 followers and wanted to have a giveaway to celebrate that - aka celebrate all of you being completely awesome and following my nail polish endeavours! But the things I wanted to include in my giveaway keep being unavailable to me.. Except for Cover Band's Sticks 'n Stones and that is only because when I had ordered my bottle, I ordered a second to giveaway.. ALSO.. I decided to .com my blog. I had talked about it with my dad (he actually talks about how when he googles my name now my blog shows up and how he sees the images some times and that he thinks I'm awesome) and I declared: when I hit 400 followers, I'm going to .com it up! So I did.

SO! While I say this is to celebrate both of these marvelous things, I still want to have a more.. substantial giveaway at some point.. I'm already collecting.. But this gem is sitting in my drawer and it needs a good home!

Who: You!
What: A chance to win a bottle of an awesome nail polish!
Where: Uh, on my blog?
When: Starts today (July 17) and goes until July 24th at 12:00am EST
Why: Because I want to!
How: Enter using this rad rafflecopter widget below

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Also, this giveaway is open to everyone.. I always hated when it was closed off to certain people - so, enjoy!!

Neutral Dots

Hey everyone!

Long time, no blog. I have just been soso bad about getting photos of my nails.. going to try to end the year on a high note. Fingers crossed!

I apologize for how drrrry my hands/cuticles look in these photos. You know how you know that your hands are dry, but you don't think they are that bad, and maybe they aren't, but a photo makes it look 50x worse? That.

I was able to snap up this set of 4 Butter London gem polishes awhile back.. very neutral, but it had a particular shade I had been eyeing.. but that is not what I have used here, naturally.

I used:
China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
Butter London Ta-ta!
Sally Hansen White On!
Dotting Tool
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

That is all for today. I have mostly been wearing a wealth of polka dotted nail art.. there is something I want to re-visit from a couple of years back - will probably do that this weekend, and then keep going from there. Halloween is on the horizon.. so.. that will be a thing too. Take care…

Black Marble (sort of).

Hey everyone!

-Insert gratuitous reasoning(s) of why I have been away-

Ok, now that that is out of the way, hi!

I just realized I still have a couple post photos stocked up. Sigh. I haven't even uploaded all that is currently living on my camera. The fear is real.

That is for another day. Mayhaps this weekend.

Until then.

I think I said it at some point on my blog, but I feel like 2017 is going to be the year that I constantly do faux marble nails. Note: not watermarbling. I have given in to that failed activity far too many times.

No, I mean the classy kind of marble. You know.

This time, I did it in reverse, because, why not?

 It counts, right?

Ugh. I love it.

All right, that is all for today. See you all again soon (I promise).

Grungey Leopard Nails

Hey everyone!

Today I have some grungey leopard print nails for you.. I had a different direction I had wanted to go in last night, but then ended up with this. Not disappointed.

I used:
China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base CoatButter London High TeaOrly Liquid VinylSally Hansen Terra-CoppaAcetoneBrushDotting ToolSeche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
I did two coats of the base colour (High Tea), then I was adding "splatter" prints with black (Liquid Vinyl) but felt they were too perfect.. so.. I decided to douse them with some acetone.. then.. I just decided to "smoke" them out.. which made the nails look grungey. But. This is me. I couldn't stop there. I decided to make dots (Terra-Coppa) throughout the smokey black, then make it into leopard print. Love.

That is all for today - see you all again soon!
